I'm starting this one off with the story of a medal-worthy photo-bomb.
Let's quickly go back to the beginning. (Insert Jacob Zuma reference here.)
This entire story began because billboards needed to go up as fast as possible, as part of the build-up to the Step For Safety walk being put together by The LuQuLuQu Tribe in Nairobi.
So the amazing people that are Elani told the good people at the UNHCR: "Don't worry. We know a guy."
It was me, guys. That guy was me. And that entire story is right here.
Then with everything set came the day itself. And weren't there moments aplenty.
From the starting line...
...to moments with the families and children that turned up for the walk...
...including these absolute superstars.
Speaking of superstars: The folks that took to the stage rocked the crowd.
Can we also talk about the kind of clearance these guys were achieving in their routine?!
Quick tangent: A moment to recognise some of my fellow lens-wielders.
All in all, a well-spent day.
If you were there: Yes, there are plenty more stills. All those, and more, for your enjoyment in the gallery link below!
And yes, you may download for personal use :)
