Koroga Festival is usually one of those events that are considered a must-attend if you either visit or live in Nairobi. It's one of the lifestyle events of the city, one of the ones that have become a part of the rhythm of life in this beautiful place I love called Nairobi.
This last edition... I won't rehash what's already been stated. Especially after it's already been so well put by a delightful human I know named Whitney, as well as in the replies to her thread. All I'll say for now? There's plenty of room for a better show.
Still, the talent on display threw down. Phy, Fena, Asa... Each one gave a helluva performance, full of class and heart.
First off, Phy. I've never watched her live. (I know, I know - how is that possible?) Yet despite the fact that sound was a problem (out of her control), Phy still threw down.
Then there's Fena. Fena has a cool and suave air to her that I can't help but admire - even look up to.
And finally, Auntie was on stage.
Asa's performance on that stage was... magical.
I mean... she took us on an incredible journey - she made us happy, made us laugh...
...made us get all up in our feelings...
...made us pine for more and more.
Watching her performance was witnessing beauty in motion.
